Parkside Produce opened in the 1980’s by the Nicholls family at 1 Osburn Street, Wodonga. The business was then sold to the Maslens in 1992 and moved up the road to 11 Osburn Street and then to its current location at 13 Osburn Street. (photo of external). The Fergus Family (us) purchased the business in 2015 and although haven’t moved have expanded the business into 15 Osburn Street.
Eddie - After growing up in Ireland, Eddie came to Australia in 1980’s for a holiday. Although he went back and worked in Europe for awhile the lure of the blue skies was too much and he returned for another visit only this time to stay. Eddie worked in construction across Australia and has now come full circle to operate a business not unlike one his parents operated in Ireland.
Rhonda - Although not from a farming family Rhonda spent most of her childhood holidays in country NSW. Yes she is a city girl! Administration and Logistics is Rhonda strong suit and this is what she brings to the team usually in the background although you will see her in store more often than not.
Brendan, Hunter and Vaughn – All three boys are currently studying at various levels in high school and have all joined Parkside Produce as their first jobs.
That’s easy… our customers. We love to help our customers work out solutions for their animals, yards, lawns and even pests. With access to over 20,000 products we have just about everyone and everything covered.
The foundations of our business were laid long before we even moved into the Albury Wodonga region so continuing has been relatively easy. However, we love a challenge so what’s next, going online has been one of them, working out what goes into the store and all the information that is collected to make it all happen.
In 2020 we will be expanding our delivery areas to better serve our customers. After that is getting our Brazzen branch of the business out there for people to see via field days big and small. I think that will keep us busy for a little while so keep coming back to this page to see what our future plans hold.
