Teff & Lucerne Hay Cubes consist entirely of premium leafy green irrigated Lucerne combined with high-quality Teff hay, free from fillers and additives. These 32mm high-fibre cubes provide a nutrient-rich, convenient feeding option for horses. With their naturally low sugar and starch content (NSC), they serve as a suitable cool feed, particularly for horses and ponies susceptible to metabolic issues like Laminitis or Cushing’s Disease. Perfect for balanced daily nutrition, these cubes maintain superior quality.

Gradually introduce soaked cubes over two weeks, soaking them in equal parts water until softened, then transition to dry feeding or continue soaking based on preference. Smaller pieces can be used as treats to ease acceptance.

Feeding Recommendations

Always feed by weight not volume.
Horses require a minimum of 1.5% of body weight (kg) of forage per day.
For example 4.5kg per day for a 300kg pony or 7.5kg for a 500kg horse.
Forage requirements depend on pasture availability, horse’s weight, age, size, condition and work level.
Fresh drinking water should always be available.
