Delivery / Retail Assistant - Part Time
Deliveries incoming and outgoing home deliveries, general storeperson work
Parkside Produce is an independent locally owned rural produce store. We are looking for a Part Time Delivery/Storeperson for our retail store
Part of the job duties involve accepting deliveries, forklifting, moving 20kg stock weights and making deliveries.
About the role:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Making deliveries and unloading in our truck/ute to customers homes and farms and commercial properties
- A manual car license is required for this position
- Light rigid preferred for larger deliveries but not essential
- Ability to tow and reverse trailers is required
- A forklift license is required
- Accepting stock deliveries (Pallets / Hay) from trucks and unloading in the store
- Put stock away from deliveries, stock rotation
- Making up orders
- Basic computing skills (training will be provided)
- Attending and interacting with cash sale customers when necessary
- General cleaning and upkeep of the stores presentation
- Ad hoc duties as required
- Hours 30 hours, Monday to Friday
We would love to work with someone who has:
- A friendly, caring nature that is confident in talking, building relationships with local customers
- A people person who cares about their customers, team and the success of the store
- Some experience in working in a retail environment but not essential
- A person who is hands on, friendly, motivated and a can do attitude
- Able to lift weight, you will be lifting 20kg repeatedly.
